I am Nicole and the owner and currently one woman show that is Yarn Works by Weber. Weber is my last name and it is derived from the German word for weaver. Since surnames used to be given based on profession I have to believe that playing with yarn is in my blood!

I started knitting mostly in high school because some of my other friends were knitting and it was a fun way to hang out! I didn't do a lot of knitting after that, but when covid shut down the world I returned to the craft! Dying yarn was an extra way for me to be creative with my knitting and I fell in love. Playing with colors and watching my creations knit up and come together was imensily satisfying.

When I am not knitting or dying yarn I am probably at my other job as a mechanical engineer. When I am not working I am most likely in the mountains. I live in Washington State close to the Cascade Mountain range which provides an endless playground that I treasure dearly.
